ABOUT ME
I am Sivanadiyar Mohan Kumar.
By profession, I am a Data Engineer and System Trader, with over a decade of experience building data pipelines, optimizing algorithms, and studying complex systems.
By vocation, I am what I call a Mind Engineer.
Mind Engineering is my term for applying engineering principles — debugging, pattern recognition, systems thinking, and iterative experimentation — to the study of human consciousness. Where psychology primarily seeks to understand the mind, Mind Engineering asks a different question: Can consciousness itself be systematically observed, documented, and refined? My work attempts to answer that question through long-term observation rather than belief alone.
THE ALGORITHM OF AWAKENING
I was not born a mystic. Born into poverty in 1992, my early life was shaped by survival rather than philosophy. By the age of fourteen, I identified as an atheist and was deeply influenced by the rationalist ideas of Thanthai Periyar. I rejected religious beliefs and accepted only what appeared intellectually defensible.
My search for understanding continued through the writings of Osho, whose work challenged many of my assumptions, and later through the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi, whose simple yet profound question — "Who Am I?" — redirected my inquiry inward.
Years later, I began experiencing something unexpected. Whenever I heard the names of the 63 Nayanmars or the Tamil Siddhars such as Agathiyar and Thirumoolar, I would experience overwhelming emotional responses that I could not explain intellectually. Although I had never formally studied the traditional texts, these experiences felt deeply familiar to me. I interpret them as meaningful markers in my own spiritual journey.
THE SEED EVENT — 2016
In September 2016, I experienced an unusually vivid dream involving a high-voltage wire in which the sense of physical identity dissolved while awareness appeared to remain.
As a data engineer, I did not dismiss the experience simply because it was unusual. Instead, I treated it as an anomalous data point. Rather than asking whether it was "true," I asked whether similar patterns could be observed over time. That question planted the idea behind what would later become The Conscious Dream Project — though the daily practice itself was still eight years away.
THE THRESHOLD — 2024
When I turned 33 in 2024, something unexpected happened. On the very night of my birthday, my dreams became unusually vivid.
At that time, I knew nothing about Carl Jung, archetypes, or depth psychology. I simply began recording what I experienced.
During the following months, many dreams carried spiritual themes. Later came recurring dreams involving marriage, wedding feasts, ancestors, deities, temples, and traditional rituals. Since my waking life offered no obvious explanation for these repeated patterns, my curiosity continued to grow.
Only afterwards did I discover the writings of Carl Jung, the concepts of archetypes and individuation, and later the rich traditions of Tamil Shaivism, including the lives of the 63 Nayanmars and the 18 Siddhars.
These ideas did not create my dreams. They became lenses through which I could reflect upon experiences that had already begun. This is also when daily documentation started in earnest — the eight-year-old question from 2016 finally had a practice built around it.
THE MISSION
Following what I personally experienced as a clear instruction during a lucid dream, I committed myself to a lifelong documentation practice, begun in earnest in 2024.
My Goal: To document, analyze, and classify 10,000 dreams and states of consciousness, for as long as life allows.
I do not consider myself a guru. I see myself as a bridge between ancient contemplative traditions and modern analytical thinking.
Every dream in this archive is examined through two complementary perspectives:
- Tamil Shaiva Siddhanta — the Sanmarga path of Agathiyar, Thirumoolar, and Vallalar. Key concepts: Guru Vakku, Kundalini, Avarana, Antaryamin, Pitru Rin, Arul, Pati-Pasu-Pasam.
- Jungian Depth Psychology — the Individuation Process. Key concepts: Shadow Integration, Anima/Animus, The Self, Archetypes, Projection, Coniunctio, Transcendent Function.
My working hypothesis is that these traditions often describe remarkably similar processes of inner transformation using different symbolic languages. The diagram below shows how the archetypes connect — and what the human can do when they encounter them.

I do not ask readers to accept my interpretations as absolute truth. Instead, I invite them to examine the patterns, compare the frameworks, and draw their own conclusions. My role is not to provide final answers. It is to document the data as faithfully as possible and explore what it may reveal about consciousness.
